Links

Here are all the sites pertaining to Emma, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Jeremy Northam that I found worthy of your time; as well as a few related sites, such as where to find the best Austen stuff or info on other films. Keep in mind that I do not manage most of these sites and therefore cannot assure you that they are all "childproof." Surf at your own risk.

EMMA

IMDb Listing

The Internet Movie Database Listing includes a full cast and credits, links to individual actors' pages, general information, movie trivia, and more. An excellent resource if you want to find out what other films a character has been in.

Eras of Elegance

These galleries load slowly, but they're worth it. Includes a lot of behind-the-scenes information as well. The whole site is dedicated to period films, and for Anglophiles like myself, it's heaven.

Movie Web

Just a few original stills and a review, but still worth a look.

Pemberley's Emma

Is the ultimate Austen obsession site for those who cannot get enough of the author, her books, or their adaptations. A very active discussion forum for each book, tons of links, images, and information, and a helpful board of ladies willing to answer any questions. Their dedication to Emma and the THREE films based on the novel are well worth perusing. Some of the pictures in my promo gallery were taken from Pemberley.

Unofficial Emma

Another fan page.

Original Novel

Read the text of the novel online, or use as a resource.

JEREMY NORTHAM

IMDb Listing

The Internet Movie Database Listing includes a full list of the films and television productions he's been in, as well as a handful of lists, options to purchase his films, and general news to look forward to, along with a bio.

Jeremy Northam Fan Site

Rarely updated, but this site is excellent for hard-to-find pictures. It does take time to load on a slower modem and it's virtually impossible to get hold of the webmaster, but the site's a lot of fun.

Jeremy Northam Online

This webmaster does answer her mail. And she's got some lovely galleries. Stop in and pay her a visit.

Gwyneth's new site, very snazzy, although the pictures are hard to steal... ;)

AUSTEN LINKS

News on Northranger Abbey

The scuttlebutt is that Miramax (responsible for Emma and Mansfield Park) are filming a new adaptation of the book, tentatively starring Rachael Leigh Cook. This is the site to keep you updated on news, rumors, and progress of the film. A very pleasing design.

Pride & Prejudice

There are a number of excellent sites on the web devoted entirely to this masterful BBC/A&E production, but here's one of my favorites. They have beautiful, original pictures not found anywhere else and much more content than some of the other sites I've paid homage to in the past.

Sense & Sensibility

At last, I found a site that actually was pleasing to the film. With a beautiful opening page, hundreds of original pictures, and a lovely layout design, this site at last makes itself a lovely dedication to a wonderful production. I look forward to any new updates that the web mistress has in mind.

A&E's Emma

I've had some requests for information on the alternate version of Emma, and so I've enclosed this link for your perusal. I have this version, and it does line up with the book almost perfectly. I must say that I enjoy the Mirimax version much better. Jeremy Northam I believe portrays Knightley in a much more compassionate light. But, as you well know, that is only my opinion, I'll leave you to decide for yourself!

Pemberley

Is the ultimate Austen obsession site for those who cannot get enough of the author, her books, or their adaptations. A very active discussion forum for each book, tons of links, images, and information, and a helpful board of ladies willing to answer any questions.

CHARITY'S SITES

Charity's Place

This is Charity's homepage, where you will find hundreds of movie reviews, writing exercises, online newsletters, story archives, and more. She puts the most effort into this site and keeps it maintained and updated weekly.

My Lady Lorna

Probably my largest movie site thus far, dedicated to the A&E and BBC presentation of Lorna Doone, starring Amelia Warner and Richard Coyle. We have an enormous audience as well as a huge site with tons of pictures, transcripts of the film, interviews, reviews, general information, character summaries, cast information and more.
